Content and Design of Integrity Systems: Evaluating Integrity Systems in Local Government

Public integrity is crucial, especially for local government organizations. Although research points out that a systematic approach to be preferred, only limited knowledge available about what such an should entail. This article presents framework contains seven theory-based elements constituting complete system. used assess the systems in three large European cities, detect shortcomings of these systems, and provide recommendations both administrative practise future research. Based on findings studied cities are, instance, recommended: improve their long-term awareness support organizational integrity; work with clearer definition (and vision on) (management); reflect more critical system based thorough policy analyzes evaluations.
